The cigar can be divided into many functional parts along its length and in a vertical section. Vertically the parts are divided into the "cap" (cap), the "body" (body), and the "End" (foot/tuck).
"Cap": is a free tobacco tip that is glued to the top of the cigar with natural glue. It prevents the cigar wrapper from unrolling.
"Body": το κυρίως μέρος του πούρου. Αποτελείται από 3 στρώσεις καπνού, τη γέμιση, το δέσιμο και το περιτύλιγμα, κάθε μία με ξεχωριστή σημασία.
- “Filler” (γέμιση): φύλλα καπνού στο κέντρο του πούρου. Τα φύλλα που χρησιμοποιούνται για τη γέμιση συνήθως προέρχονται από την κορυφή του φυτού η οποία ονομάζεται Ligero. Είναι σκούρα και λιπαρά, καίγονται αργά και περιέχουν τη περισσότερη γεύση. Η γέμιση μπορεί να είναι μακριά ή κοντή. "Long Filler" (long filling) from far away smoke leaves. Cigars that have this type of filling are usually handmade and all premium handmade cigars have long fillings. "Short Filler" (short filler) is cut tobacco used for machine-made cigars.
- "Binder." (the binding): is a hard and thick sheet of tobacco that holds the wrapper and the filling together.
- "Wrapper." (the wrapper): is a silky tobacco leaf that burns well. These leaves come from the lower part of the plant. The way a cigar looks and the way it feels on the lips depends entirely on the wrapper.
"Foot/ Tuck": is the tip from which we light the cigar.
