As every year, the heart of the cigar world beat for a week in Havana where during the Habanos Festival the new cigars of the year were presented.
Η Trinidad was the brand that was honoured this year as it celebrated its 50th anniversary. The collector's cigar that was presented and will be released in a very limited number of humidors of 50 pieces (we will not see it in Greece), is the Trinidad 50 Aniversario, an imposing pyramid measuring 152.4mm X 59! But also announced was the "expansion" of the brand with three new regular production cigars that concern us the most. These are Topes (125mm X 56) that were released in 2016 as Edicion Limitada and two more original sizes: the Esmeralda (145mm X 53) & Media Luna (115 X 50).
The twenty years of the San Cristobal de la Habana and celebrates them with the impressive San Cristobal 1519 (158,7mm X 57) that will be released in 500 collector's humidors of 100 pieces each. But another cigar is coming out, in the Casa del Habano exclusive series, the San Cristobal 20 Aniversario (161mm X 52).
In the same series, Casa del Habano, comes out and the Cohiba Novedosos (152,4mm X 50) in the impressive photo box.
But this year it is the turn of Hoyo de Monterrey to be represented in the top series of Gran Reserva, so the iconic Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona The 2013 vintage is the Gran Reserva for 2019.
Finally, all three of this year's Edicion Limitada 2019 which are expected to be released at the end of the year ...to note here that we are still waiting -in Greece- for the cigars of 2018! The series is being upgraded this year aesthetically since the cigars will come in new, very carefully designed boxes. So, this year we will release the Quai d` Orsay Senadores (154.3mm X 48), Ramon Allones No 2 (139.7 X 52, a classic Belicoso) and the Montecristo Supremos (128.2mm X 55).
